Refocus

With the new job, I have been so off in regards to my fitness.  I still have been more conscious of it than in the past.  But, I have done very little exercise and since exercise goes hand in hand with eating healthy, I've been bad on that aspect too.

However, the difference between now and then is that I know what I need to do and I know that I can do it.  I also know that I have to do it now.

So, seeing as though I plan on starting to training on February 11, 2012 for my first half marathon, I decided to find a Base Training program to follow.  This way I can build my distance back up and I can go ahead and get in the habit of following a training schedule.

I got a Base (Spring) Training schedule from Hal Higdon's website.  I started today (ironically the first day is a rest day...LOL).  Below is the schedule I'll be following for the next 12 weeks.

Tomorrow morning I'm headed to the gym to get my first 1.5 to 2.0 mile run in.  I'm very excited to get back into the gym....maybe it will relax me too for my work day.

I also logged everything I ate today on the Weight Watchers website.  I used to be so good.  It just goes to show, you really have to stay on top of it and not get complacent.  I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't done anything in the past two months to be proud of health wise.  But, I'm changing that now.

Hope everyone else is staying active!
